This jewelry tray has a soft, organic shape, with a gentle wave pattern created from a single piece of leather.
The top and bottom surfaces of the tray are made of calfskin, which is characterized by its fine grain, while the sides are made of box calf, which has a different texture. Chrome-tanned, it has an elegant and hard appearance, and although the color is the same, the change in texture creates a unique lightness.
The tray is hollow as it is made using only adhesive and no thread is used.
The adhesive is made in Italy and is tasteless, odorless, and harmless to humans, so it is safe even if children or pets accidentally ingest it.
The edge (cut surface) is treated by soaking it in ink heated to a high temperature, which makes it blend in with the leather, making it a French-style technique that makes it less likely to crack or peel even after years of use.
